Hello, I’m Felix, a psychologist based in Brisbane. My approach to therapy is warm, grounded, and collaborative, centred on genuine human connection. I work with adults aged 18 and over, supporting people as they navigate life’s complexities — from anxiety, depression, and burnout to trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and identity exploration.
At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy should feel safe, respectful, and deeply human. I aim to create a space where each person can bring their whole self — where you’re met with understanding rather than judgement, and where the focus is on your values, needs, and lived experience. My therapeutic style is relational and attachment-based, with a focus on safety, trust, and understanding. I believe that change happens through meaningful connection — when we feel seen, accepted, and supported to explore our inner world at our own pace.
I am passionate about providing neurodiversity-affirming therapy within a framework that is LGBTIQAP+ inclusive and culturally responsive. I have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism, in ways that honour their individuality and strengths. I also work alongside members of the LGBTIQAP+ community, including people exploring gender identity, navigating dysphoria, or processing the impacts of marginalisation and discrimination. My work with First Nations peoples is grounded in respect, collaboration, and a focus on connection, wellbeing, and healing.
Alongside this relational foundation, my work is informed by evidence-based psychological approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Focal Psychodynamic Therapy (FPT). I integrate these approaches within a trauma- and attachment-informed framework to ensure therapy is both effective and deeply attuned to each person’s emotional landscape.
I also provide psychological assessments, including formal ADHD assessments and diagnostic clarification, and I offer couples therapy informed by Emotion Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method. These couples therapy approaches help partners strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and nurture emotional connection.
At Felix Psychology, my hope is that therapy feels like a space where you can reflect, heal, and reconnect with what matters most. I value authenticity, empathy, inclusivity, and compassion, and I am committed to supporting people in moving toward lives that feel more meaningful, balanced, and aligned with who they truly are.
I look forward to joining you on your therapeutic journey.
